Jeff Banks and Hilton present their ideal race day wardrobes for winter – check out their checks!
It’s the winter season and there’s tons of racing going on; it’s all about over the jump. So, whether or not it’s an evening meeting at Ascot, or whether or not it’s finally the Grand National at Aintree, you can’t go wrong with a checked suit.
So, Hilton’s wearing a check Ivy League; single breasted, two button, it’s got a peak lapel which has a little bit of flash about it, and he’s wearing it with a waistcoat for that debonair look about it – and the races are very competitive, these days, about what you wear!
Hilton’s wearing a cutaway collar shirt, it’s got a horizontal blue stripe to it; just a little touch from Jeff Banks – and a gold racing tie and gold pocket handkerchief.
Me, I’m wearing a slightly more subdued Ivy League check suit – again – single breasted, two button, comes with a waistcoat. And me, I’ve gone for a bit of colour in the shirt, I’ve got a magenta Jeff Banks Stvdio shirt on; it’s a half cutaway collar, a wonderful paisley tie with that magenta feel about it, and all of it sums up racing.
